Kyle won the Youghal Schools’ Rugby Blitz in a thrilling final coming from behind twice to win by a single try. Congratulations to all involved.
The pupils at Kyle National School engage in a variety of sports each week, which helps promote a healthy, active lifestyle from an early age. Both Junior and Senior Classes have rugby training with Seán O’ Neill from Youghal Rugby Club. During these fun activities the children develop key skills such as agility, balance, co-ordination and speed.
These fundamental movement skills improve children’s spatial awareness, dynamic balance and hand-eye co-ordination, to name but a few. These skills are critical building blocks for many later activities, and the children at Kyle N.S. are given plentiful opportunities to practice them.
These are some photos of the children having fun and playing co-operatively during their rugby training session.
